From 1973 to 1983, John Terry painted a series of twenty two paintings which were published as Holiday Cards.  Except for the first (C&O) all of the canvases measured 24" x 30".  They were painted in acrylic and are shown here in the order in which they were painted.  Photographic accuracy and meticulous attention to detail were required to please the railfans who counted every spoke and rivet

Painting number twenty three, Rutland Railroad number 93, was half finished when the decision was made to stop producing the cards.  More than a third of the paintings are in private collections.
